Building Stronger Networks
Together
We help people, researchers and community collectives build stronger networks by remaking relationships to solve problems, sustain creative conflict and improve outcomes.
We use network data to improve the social dynamics of interventions for people, organizations and collectives.

The SoDI Lab provides analytical support for Networked Improvement Communities (NICs)
NICs can help collectives to establish operations and sustain their commitment to their aims and goals by following a framework (Bryk et al., 2011; Russell et al., 2017):
1. Fostering culture, norms and identity with network members that aligned with the aims of the network.
2. Purposefully cultivate the network through leadership, establishing network organizational structures and operating the network.
3. Establish a strong technical core for the network by identifying a problem of practice and implement 3 main activities, including learning and using improvement research methods, developing a theory of practice improvement and building measurement and analytical infrastructure.

What is Improvement Science?
The analytical support provided by the SoDI Lab is inspired by the improvement science framework established by Tony Bryk and collegues at the Carnegie Foundation. We help collaboratives that follow the 6 core principles of improvement science to use social network analytics to measure their collaboration in order to identify network strengths, gaps and opportunities.
